Lake St. Louis, MO - April 6, 2011 - Once again, Diane Carney and Richard
Rinehart teamed up for an incredibly successful weekend at the Lake
St. Louis Hunter Jumper Horse Show. Rinehart placed first and second in the
$25,0000 Grand Prix on April 3rd, 2011 after winning the $25,0000 Grand Prix
and the $5,000 Welcome Stake in January at the Lake St. Louis Hunter Jumper
II Horse Show. These incredible placings with Kathleen O. Hope's Total Touch
and Niki Martin's Hobby De La Cense helped earn Rinehart the $5,000 Leading
Rider Bonus.
During the $25,000 Grand Prix, Rinehart showed Total Touch to a double clear
effort and the second place award, and went on to win the class with Hobby
De La Cense. Rinehart has teamed up with Total Touch's trainer Diane Carney
of Telluride Farm on multiple occasions and the pair have always had great
success.
"I always believed in Richard, as I was part of the USET Developing Riders
Committee and saw him as a developing rider when he won the Maxine Beard
award in 2001," explained Carney. "Clearly over 30 grand prix wins says he
has been a successful rider before he has teamed up with me. I think that
the part I bring to the relationship is the more expanded venue of horse
shows such as Spruce Meadows. I think I bring a greater depth of experience
to his talent."
Carney continued, "The two of us seem to be able to figure it out anywhere
on any horse. The horses that he is riding for Telluride Farm are very, very
talented. He is a very solid horseman, and our workman like relationship
makes for fun and successful horse shows."
Telluride Farm and Diane Carney hope to team up with Richard Rineheart once
again during the Showplace Spring Spectacular in June.
Carney, a USEF "r" Hunter/Equitation Licensed Official and USHJA Certified
Trainer, is based out of Hampshire, IL, at her hunter/jumper show stable,
Telluride Farm. She has been both an active participant and influential
trainer in the hunter and jumper community for many years. Her contributions
to the industry extend to the many clinics that she teaches every year, in
addition to those that she hosts annually for U.S. Show Jumping Chef
d'Equipe George H. Morris and top hunter/jumper trainer Don Stewart
Jr. Carney was also voted Illinois Hunter/Jumper Horse Person of the Year
for 2008. For more information about Diane Carney and Telluride Farm please
